August Favourites

So it's September, the end of the all too short summer. I thought I would share with you some of my favourite products throughout August. I have to first apologise for not using my own photos in this blog post, but I left my camera with my friend... in France, but it is being shipped to me soon.

My first favourite product is a fragrance. In the summer I always love the Juicy Couture perfumes and this August I have particularly loved Viva la juicy. I own the baby 7ml version, but I am thinking about buying the 50ml bottle (£38). However I will wait until I get a whiff of the new viva la juicy 'la fleur', which is I have heard is the same, but with more floral notes in it. The original viva la juicy smells very sweet, and girlie. I am not very good at describing smells, but if you haven't smelt it before, you need to march down to the shops right now and have a smell, because you are missing out! And it last a long time on your skin, and in the bottle, I have had my miniature one for donkeys and it still hasn't gone off. Yay:D

My next favourite is a self tanner, because nobody wants to fly off on holiday looking dead as a ghost (does that make sense... you know what I mean). It's St.Moriz Instant self tanning mousse in medium. I have had 3 or 4 bottles of this stuff, and I love it, and I found it especially useful this month. It leaves your skin a really natural bronzed colour with no streaks (if you use it right). I mix it with a moisturiser, whichever one comes to hand, as it can be very drying. I use much more tanner than I do moisturiser, but the moisturiser is very important, I think. I have used it without a moisturiser before, and it was nice deeper colour, not too orangey, but it dried on the skin within seconds so I couldn't blend it. This meant that I had some (just a few) visible marks. Nothing major, but not really what I wanted.
It is just £2.99, cheap as chips, whch is always a big bonus:)

My final favourite is the core collection by real techniques. I haven't had them all month, I'll admit, but it didn't take long for them to become my new favourite makeup tools. I already have (and adore) the starter kit and I wanted to try more, so I bought them in Boots for £21.99, which I think is a reasonable price for 4 high quality brushes, and a travel case for them too. They are synthetic hair, and so lovely and soft. The buffing brush and the contour brush are my favourites. I use the buffing brush for my foundation, and the contour brush for (surprise, surprise) contouring. I use the pointed foundation brush and the detailer brush for lots of different things. I love these brushes, and would strongly recommend them.
Post again soon xx
