Matchy Makeup

Mac did a collection a while ago where they brought out matching nail varnishes, lipsticks and liglosses; this got me thinking so I routed through my draws to see if I could find some things that matched...(they don't match exactly, but there kind of close)

Lipstick-Shy Girl, Mac
Blusher-Suede, Sleek

 Lipstick-Sweet pea, Natural collection
Cream colour base-improper copper, Mac

Eye Liner-Super Liner Ultra Presicion
Mascara-Wonder Perfect Mascara, Clarins
(This one is cheating a little, but the packaging matches and they're both black. I do like using both of these products together too).

My Favourite Concealers

These are my favourite two concealers...

(sorry there are no photos, my camera is still in France, and the computer won't allow me to upload any other images:/ Will upload some ASAP)

I'll start with the last perfection concealer by Collection 2000. It is the cheaper of the two but just as good. I like the consistency, it's creamy and blends really nicely. It comes in a lipgloss wand type of packaging, which is all well and good, but the writing always rubs within a day or two, which isn't a major problem, but not ideal either. Apart from that it is a great product. It is full coverage but not cakey, and if you pat it over pores they are barely visible, which I particularly love seeing as  have pores the size of moon craters! Oh dear.
There are just four colours, very light to a medium, but unfortunately there isn't one for darker skin colours.
It's as cheap as chips, for just £4.19 at Boots, bargain:)

The next concealer is Mac studio finish concealer. It comes in a pot packaging and is a thicker creamy consistency than the collection 2000 concealer. It is full coverage, great for the under eyes and for covering blemishes. It has spf 35 which is great for everyday when you're out and about. The colour range is great as you would expect from MAC, so have no fear, there will be one for you. It lasts ages on the skin, and in the pot, I have just hit the pan of my second pot of it and I must of had it for about six months (which is a very long time, seeings as I use it everyday!). I love this product and can't say enough good things about it. I think it is great value for money considering how ling it has last me. Its costs £14.50 from MAC stores.

Tag- 10 Most Worn Beauty Products

I was searching through old posts on Sprinkle of Glitter's blog and saw that she was tagged to do this 10 most worn beauty products. She tagged everyone, so I thought I would give it a go. I enjoyed reading hers, so I hope you enjoy mine...

1. Most worn lip product:
My most worn lip product is Vaseline. Boring, I know, but it really is the best moisturising lip balm for just a couple of quid. My favourite is the rosy lips, leaves your a nice natural, well, rosy colour:)

2. Most worn eyeliner:
Loreal Superliner carbon gloss.

3. Most worn nail polish:
Barry M nail paint in fuchsia.

4. Most worn eyeshadow:

This is a toughie. It will definitely be one from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but it's difficult to choose which one. I think it must be virgin because I use it as a highlight on my brow bone almost everyday.

                                               5. Most worn concealer:
MAC studio finish concealer.

6. Most worn foundation:
Bourjois healthy mix foundation.

7. Most worn (finishing) powder:
Maybeline dream matte powder.

8. Most worn blush:
MAC minerlized blush in giggly (from the quite cute collection).

9. Most worn bronzer:

Bourjois bronzing powder (the chocolate bronzer).

                                            10. Most worn mascara:

August Favourites

So it's September, the end of the all too short summer. I thought I would share with you some of my favourite products throughout August. I have to first apologise for not using my own photos in this blog post, but I left my camera with my friend... in France, but it is being shipped to me soon.

My first favourite product is a fragrance. In the summer I always love the Juicy Couture perfumes and this August I have particularly loved Viva la juicy. I own the baby 7ml version, but I am thinking about buying the 50ml bottle (£38). However I will wait until I get a whiff of the new viva la juicy 'la fleur', which is I have heard is the same, but with more floral notes in it. The original viva la juicy smells very sweet, and girlie. I am not very good at describing smells, but if you haven't smelt it before, you need to march down to the shops right now and have a smell, because you are missing out! And it last a long time on your skin, and in the bottle, I have had my miniature one for donkeys and it still hasn't gone off. Yay:D

My next favourite is a self tanner, because nobody wants to fly off on holiday looking dead as a ghost (does that make sense... you know what I mean). It's St.Moriz Instant self tanning mousse in medium. I have had 3 or 4 bottles of this stuff, and I love it, and I found it especially useful this month. It leaves your skin a really natural bronzed colour with no streaks (if you use it right). I mix it with a moisturiser, whichever one comes to hand, as it can be very drying. I use much more tanner than I do moisturiser, but the moisturiser is very important, I think. I have used it without a moisturiser before, and it was nice deeper colour, not too orangey, but it dried on the skin within seconds so I couldn't blend it. This meant that I had some (just a few) visible marks. Nothing major, but not really what I wanted.
It is just £2.99, cheap as chips, whch is always a big bonus:)

My final favourite is the core collection by real techniques. I haven't had them all month, I'll admit, but it didn't take long for them to become my new favourite makeup tools. I already have (and adore) the starter kit and I wanted to try more, so I bought them in Boots for £21.99, which I think is a reasonable price for 4 high quality brushes, and a travel case for them too. They are synthetic hair, and so lovely and soft. The buffing brush and the contour brush are my favourites. I use the buffing brush for my foundation, and the contour brush for (surprise, surprise) contouring. I use the pointed foundation brush and the detailer brush for lots of different things. I love these brushes, and would strongly recommend them.
